There are a couple of small closed tears to the head of the spine (but without loss). A little rubbing to the edges of the boards. Inside, the book is clean and tidy throughout. There is a gift inscription to the front end paper. The frontis photograph is very slightly crinkled. The rest of the book is clean and tidy with very slight darkening to the page edges. Original blind stamped brown buckram, with a frontis photographic plate of the author. Frontis photograph. lii, 299 pp.
