A Practical View of the Prevailing Religious System of Professed Christians, In the Higher and Middle Classes in the Country, Contrasted with Real Christianity. By William Wilberforce, Member of Parliament for the County of York. The Third Edition. Wide margins with printed summary to the margins.
London: T. Cadell: 1797. A decent copy of this Third Edition. Original half leather, with marbled boards. 8vo. [vi], 492. [xviii]. Pp.
Condition: The spine is rather chipped, and a little rubbed. The label has gone, so the title is just blind embossed where the label would have been. A little cracking to the edges of the boards, so although the boards are holding, they are a little loose. Internally the book is sound. Two neat owner's names to the end paper, one contemporary another mid twentieth Century. There is some foxing to the initial pages, but only to the first few, gradually fading to a clean and tidy copy. There is one ink underline to the margin of page 405 (not affecting text)
