Poliniae Testamentum. A poem.
Edition: First Edition
London: John Lane the Bodley Head, 1942. First edition in dust wrapper. Limited to 500 copies - this being copy 406. Signed by the author with a gift inscription to the front end paper. A poem of Poland's history from the earliest known beginnings to the time of writing (the second world war). Published at perhaps the darkest point of the war, the author tries to hold on to the belief that good will triumph. Text in English. 94 pages.
The dust wrapper (now protected in clear removable acetate) has a small chip to the bottom edge of the spine, and a slight nicking elsewhere - otherwise clean and tidy. A touch of darkening to the white rear panel. The book itself is clean and tidy inside and out.
