The text is lacking the second page of the plate listings to the front of the book. (please note - this item has the complete 61 plates, but does NOT contain the continuation with the 23 etchings of the ancients). COLAS 1995. LIPPERHEIDE 1003.
The original boards are sound, but a little darkened to the edges, and with a touch of marking to them. The spine is immaculate. Inside, the plates are in good, clean condition, with a touch of darkening to the edges. The odd spot to them only. The text pages and title are darkened and have a few slight nicks and closed tears to the edges. As noted, the second page of the plate listing is lacking. Overall a decent copy of this work.
