With five raised bands on the spine, maroon morocco labels with gilt titles. Internally, all three volumes have their half-titles and second half-titles. Top edge gilt.
Vol. I: , -341 pp. with imprint at the bottom of page 341;
Vol. II: , -346 pp., followed by a blank leaf with the imprint at the bottom;
Vol. III: , -358 pp., followed by the errata leaf with imprint at the bottom. Vol. I at page 293, in line 17 has the word "rudence" for "prudence." This shows it is the first printing.
Condition: Has been rebound (presumably due to smoke damage), with new endpapers, but internally the first and last few pages show signs of smoke. All pages darkened.
