Gilt titles. Owner's bookplate to the inside paste down and the verso of the original cover. Decorative title is printed using an alphabet of bodies (both skeletons and live ones!) Last reprint using the original woodblocks which were in possession of Garnier and taking over the original French wording from the 1486 Paris incunabula edition. 260 by 205mm (10¼ by 8 inches).
Condition: The binding is in good strong clean condition. Likewise, the original paper binding is strong and clean. The text / illustration block is in beautiful condition, with a good, strong strike. The only flaw is a bookplate to the verso of the paper cover.
