240 by 170mm (9½ by 6¾ inches). An important standard work on the Hymenoptera. A complete set contains 11 volumes and was published from 1879-1913. Hymenoptera is a large order of insects, comprising the sawflies, wasps, bees, and ants. Over 150,000 living species of Hymenoptera have been described. No wonder it is 11 volumes!

Condition: Vol 1: Fractional rubbing to the edges of the spine. Book is clean and tidy throughout. Vol 2: one page (880) has a small corner missing to the page - does not affect text.
