This book served as both a retrospective of Weiwei's career, and as a companion publication to the exhibition of the same name. With photographs of many of his best-known items, an essay by the exhibition's curator Rosa Pera, and an artist interview conducted by Llucià Homs. Text in Catalan, English and Spanish. Ai Weiwei is best known for his use of Chinese art forms to display Chinese political and social issues. This book includes photographs from his early years in New York, a selection of his 'altered objects', such as 'Suitcase for Bachelor', and 'One Man-Shoe', plus much more.
