London: Efficiency Magazine. Small pamphlet size first English edition. Hubbard's story (1899) of an American soldier's daring journey to deliver President McKinley's communication to Gen. Calixto Garcia, a leader of the Cuban insurgents during the Spanish-American war. With an introduction by Herbert N Casson. iv, 9 pp. 180 x 115 mm (7 x 4½ inches). This was made in to a film of the same name in 1936. Although contentious, this work continues to be considered among the most important literary works on leadership—and followers.
Condition: In a good condition with light soiling to covers.
