With 16 full-page colour illustrations of Canadian G.I.s during the days of liberation, expertly observed by the artist Jan Nieuwenhuys. Introduction by Edward Startz of the Dutch Overseas Broadcasting Station is written in English. He describes the book as 'a Cavalcade of Canadians in the Netherlands'. Covers are a little browned at the edges and there are spots of foxing. Inside the book is in a very good, fresh and clean condition. 30 pages. 270 x 205 mm (10¾ x 8 inches).

Jan Nieuwenhuys was one of the early active founders of the Dutch Experimentalists group that later became part of CoBrA. At the time of this book being published he was just 23 years old, and is referred to in the introduction as 'young and promising'!
