1907. Beautiful large colourful lithograph of a trainer and her three performing pinto horses in a circus marquee or 'tente chapiteau'. On BFK Rives paper. Proof signed in pencil to lower right, numbered 94/250. Sold without frame. Blank to verso. Nice wide margins, perfect for framing. A few small creases at very edge of lower margin, would be covered if framed. Whole item: 540 x 705 mm (21¼ by 27¾ inches). Image: 410 x 530 mm Yves Brayer (1907-1990) was a French artist who trained at the academies of Montparnasse and La Grande Chaumière, then at the École des beaux-arts de Paris. He is well known for his many paintings of horses in the Camargue, and a passion for the beauty and culture of his country.
