Map of Brussels has one small tear to upper section (shown in photographs). Overall in good condition. With the bookplate of Robert Washington Oates (1874-1958), who was born in London but partly educated in Belgium. He served in the First World War as a private soldier, whilst simultaneously making a substantial fortune through his financial interest in a firm of industrial chemists. After the WW1 ended he became an antique dealer, and gained an international reputation in the antiquarian book trade. 148 pages + tables and adverts. 170 x 115 mm (6¾ x 4½ inches).
