Paris: Edition du Clamen, 1901. First Edition. Jean Dominique was the nom de plume of Marie Closset, a Belgian poet, who adopted a male name so that her work would be judged on its merits. She was associated with a non-conformist group called The Peacocks. Limited edition with a total limitation of 355 copies. This appears to be one of the five copies on Japon, but is not numbered. Bound in cloth with an attractive two colour decoration, leather and gilt label to the spine. Cloth has some water marking / stains. Internally clean and tidy - but slightly darkened. Illustrated throughout with lovely purple Art Nouveau designs and initial letters. 80 pages. 200 x 175 mm (7¾ x 7 inches).
