De Historie van Docter Johannes Faustus. Die een uitnemenden grooten Tovenaar in zwarte Konsten was. Van zyn Duivelsche verschryvingen, van zyn Onchristelyk Leven, wonderlyke Avonturen, van zyn schrikkelyk en gruwelyk Einde, en Afscheid. Meestendeel uit zyn eigene Schriften byeen vergaderd. Alle Hovaardigen, Opgeblazene, Stouten en Goddelozen Menschen, als een Schrikkelyk Voorbeeld en Waarschuwing.

1750. Rare printing of Doctor Faust's chapbook in Dutch. Woodcut on title, 58 (repeated) woodcut illustrations. A total of 60 vignettes. Complete. More recent paper covers. These are somewhat rubbed with significant rubbing and loss to the spine. Written number to the front cover. The date c.1750 is printed on the remnant of a catalogue label stuck to the front cover. The impressions of the engravings are somewhat are somewhat blurred. P. 41, repeated on p. 76, the illustrations are not woodcuts but metalcuts. The shape of the heads of the nails with which the plates were mounted on wood are printed on many of them. A nice example. 86 (2) pp. 205 x 165 mm (8 x 6½ inches).
