A touch for rubbing to the edges. Owner's bookplate to the inside board. Pages have the odd foxing spot, but overall are very clean. Frontis of a pineapple and other fruit. Coloured secondary title page. and sixteen further hand-coloured plates. Together a total of 18 plates. There are also a large number of very attractive engraved vignettes throughout the work. viii, 142pp. At the time of writing, McIntosh was Head Gardener to the Duke of Buccleuch, at Dalkeith where he updated and modernised the gardens.
