Sir William Robertson Nicoll was a Scottish Free Church minister, writer, journalist and editor. He was literary adviser to the evangelical English publishing house Hodder and Stoughton, with whom he founded the Nonconformist publication 'British Weekly'. Within this he began a highly popular feature called 'Correspondence of Claudius Clear'. This book is a collection of thirty essays. Boards are overall in good shape, with one or two darker finger marks. Inside the book has mild to moderate foxing throughout. xi, 350 pp. 205 x 140 mm (8 x 5½ inches).
