A lovely copy, with a very slight bumping to the corners only. Many pages uncut. No slipcase (as issued) in lovely condition inside. (10) 118 pages. 330 x 225 mm (13 x 8¾ inches). [Together with], a very nice copy of the cloth bound review / prospectus for the LEC set. The prospectus includes 4 full page sample illustrations, by Agnes Parker Miller, Demetrios Galanis, Gordon Ross and Arthur Rackham. There is also an original order form and pre-paid envelope loosely laid in. 40 pages.
This is the prospectus and one volume from a set of 37 volumes comprising all of Shakespeare's plays, each illustrated by a different artist. The paper covered boards reproduced a period wall painting design from John Davenant's house.
