The retelling - in verse - of the traditional story of a poor boy called Dick Whittington, who made a fortune by selling his mouse catching cat, and later became Lord Mayor of London - three times! Small sewn paper booklet. [8] pages, with hand coloured wood engravings. Covers have split at bottom of spine side, but otherwise in very good shape. No date, but WORLDCAT suggests between 1850 and 1860. 140 x 110 mm (5½ x 4¼ inches).
