Gilt titles to front board and spine. There is some fading to the boards, but very clean and neat. The pages themselves are clean and tidy throughout. Stamp to the inside front boards states that the book was bound by J. Brandt & Zoon, bookbinders of Amsterdam. It is numbered and initialled by the binder (but with no clue as to limitation). The text of the book is based on the translations by Felix Genzmer and Hans Voss, selected and supplemented by Klaus Wrage. Despite a variety of estimated dates in copies for sale, WorldCat / FirstSearch confirm that this first edition was in 1941. A striking adaptation of Norse Legends.
