Lipsiae [Leipzig]: Fridericum Gleditsch, 1757. A nice copy of this second, amended edition of Ludwig's work on the vegetable kingdom. Jourdan claimed that this was one of the best works to follow Linnaeus. Contemporary half leather binding, with gilt decoration to the spine. title label. A little rubbing to the edges, but substantially sound. Inside the front end paper has had a corner (presumably with a name) cut out. The rest of the book is in very good condition, with just a touch of darkening / foxing. [xiv], 264, [x]. pages. Complete. 19cm x 12cm. Text is in Latin.
