Hardback with burgundy spine and corners, marbled boards. Gilt titles to spine. The binding is a little rubbed, but overall is in very good condition. The individual issues, are in good clean condition, with a touch of darkening to the edges. One sheet has a little nicking to the edge where it has protruded from the text block. Beautiful illustrations by the eminent artists of the day. Each of the first fifteen issues is devoted to a different illustrator: Albert GUILLAUME, Ferdinand BAC, Ch. HUARD, H. GERBAULT, CARAN D'ACHE, LEANDRE, JOB, Benjamin RABIER, Abel FAIVRE, A. ROBIDA, STEINLEN, HERMANN PAUL, GRUN, BALLURIAU, and A. WILLETTE. Les numéros individuels sont en bon état de propreté, avec un léger assombrissement des bords. L'un des feuillets présente une petite entaille sur le bord, à l'endroit où il a dépassé du bloc de texte. De magnifiques illustrations réalisées par d'éminents artistes de l'époque.
