The main character is a Punch style clown, who gets up to various capers, including some where he is chasing a stereotypical African princess. Paper covered illustrated hardback. The front cover and the title page are the same (but with publisher information to the title). The boards are a little rubbed, and somewhat darkened, but still in very good condition. It is probably that the book has been recased (with a new rear board and end papers) at some point, as these are significantly cleaner than the rest of the book. Il est probable que le livre ait été réencadré (avec un nouveau dos et de nouvelles pages de garde) à un moment donné, car ces dernières sont nettement plus propres que le reste du livre.
