Raymond Haasen (1911-1983), was a master printer, painter and engraver, son of the intaglio printer Paul Haasen. He was active in Paris between 1920 and 1944. R. Haasen produced, among other things, the etchings for the covers of the two volumes of La Fontaine's Fables illustrated by Chagall (Vollard, 1952) as well as thirty-nine etchings for Chagall's Bible produced between 1952 and 1956 (Vollard, 1956).
