In the Second World War, he served as a cartoonist with the American Army, and this book is one of the results. Wrapper is darkened, and with some nicking and chipping to the edges. Still reasonably clean and attractive. The book itself is clean. The cartoons here, are drawn from his work that first appeared in "Stars and Stripes" magazine. The book was clearly printed just at the end of the war in Europe. To the colophon is a cartoon of Hirohito, labelled "He's next (and he knows it)". Unpaginated but circa 100 pages. 23cm x 15.5cm.
