The edges of the poster have significant closed tears and creases. The worst of these have been repaired with archival tape. A little darkening. Alexandre Baylac was a 19th-century French caricaturist and lithographer active in Paris, known for satirical works about the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871 and the commune following. One of his most most satirical works was "Les Criminels Célèbres!"
