Internally spotless throughout with a fractional darkening to the page edges. George Reavey (1907-1976) was an Irish-Russian surrealist poet, literary agent, publisher, and translator. His family having fled Russia in 1919, he studied at Cambridge before moving to Paris in 1929. Here he published the first English language edition of Paul Elouard's work and was Samuel Beckett's literary agent for a while. He later moved to New York. Roger Vieillard (1907–1989). He was an exceptional engraver, one of the greatest burin artists of his century, a banker, poet, Hellenist, writer, and tennis champion.
