Book itself is in a fine condition. David Douglas Duncan was an American photojournalist renowned for his photographs of combat situations in the Vietnam War, during which he was an officer in the Marine Corps. Born in Paris, Lecomte was the son of renowned landscape painter Paul Lecomte. Paul Emile studied at the École des Beaux-Arts under portraitist and history painter Fernand Cormon; his works were often featured in prestigious galleries like the Paris Salon.
