Wien: Artur Wolf Verlag, 1919. Unique numbered edition of 500; on handmade paper. This portfolio of tipped-in engravings after the originals, comprises 24 loose sheets, as issued. These copper engravings were created as relief engravings based on those found at the Wiener Hofbibliothek. Four page introduction by Dr. Karl Kloss. The portfolio is in good shape, with some rubbing to edges. Inside, the sheets are clean, and the work is complete; but most of the plates have been slightly folded over at the top edge when the portfolio has not been carefully closed over the years. 295 x 270 mm (11½ x 10¾ inches).

Fascinating images of Belgium's early 20th century architecture - from sketches by Luigi Kasimir; often referred to as The Master European Printmaker. Illustrated with frontispiece, 29 full-page plates, and some in-text illustrations. German text by Fedor von Zobeltitz. All full-page plates have captioned tissue guards. Cities: Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, Louvain and Mechelen. Pictorial boards are somewhat age toned and bumped at the edges. The ribbon ties are still attached, but front ones are broken. Gent: Drukkery van I.S. Van Doosselaere, 1861. First edition. Half leather with mottled hardback boards. 206 pages. With frontispiece, woodcuts in text, and a fold-out map to the rear. Map has a closed tear but is complete. Boards are rubbed. Inside has two institutional ex libris stamps; one to frontispiece, the other to title page. 185 x 125 mm (7¼ x 5 inches).

London: Wells Gardner, Darton & Co, 1894. Original yellow hardback. buckram spine. A touch of bumping to the edges only. Unpaginated. 15 coloured lithographs with a black and white copy of each opposite for children to colour themselves. This copy largely uncoloured, although the first black and white image has a very feint colour wash to it. 240 by 175mm (9½ by 7 inches).

Keystone Photo Archive, 1968. A black and white photograph of a Coldstream Guardsman at St James' Palace in London, being followed by two children from Miss Betty Vacani's School of Dancing dressed in their own versions of his uniform. This was for a rehearsal of an event being held to support The Invalid Children's Association in London in July 1968. 240 x 120 mm (9½ x 4¾ inches). Keystone data in Dutch to the verso of the print.

Rijswijk: Blankwaardt & Schoonhoven, 1930. Scarce First Edition. Hardback book with colour illustrated boards and full-page colour illustrations by Bep Jordens. Boards are a little rubbed at edges. Neat cloth spine. Age toning to title and last page. 27 pages. No date, but circa 1930. This is one of three works Jordens illustrated for this publisher, the only one by this author. 210 x 260 mm (8¼ x 10¼ inches).

Munchen / Munich: Friedr. Bruckmann's Verlag, 1890. First edition. A scarce collection of albumen photographs of the Magic Flute in the loggia of the Imperial and Royal Opera House in Vienna. Circa 1890. Held in a folding cover. Cover is ornately decorated to the front and blind embossed to the rear. Clean and tidy with fractional darkening. Inside, the flaps are a pale grey and also blind stamped. Slight marking where a paper clip (now gone) has been holding something. Inside are a title and 12 cards. The title has the the list of photographs to the rear. Albumen photographs are pasted onto the card, printed to recto only. All in excellent condition with just a slight darkening and few minor marks to the title card.

[New Haven, Conneticut]: Prickly Pair Editions, 1998. First edition. Bound in gold cloth hardback boards with inset cover decoration and label. Lovely colour illustrations. Decorated title page, frontispiece, and page decorations. Titles printed in red. Printed in an edition of only forty-five copies. The type is Walbaum, machine-set by Michael & Winifred Bixler. Decorations and binding by Coriander Reisbord; typography and printing by Asa Peavy. With compliment slip from Coriander Reisbord loose inside. Boards and pages water stained to bottom third, hence low price. Boards and 21 pages. 235 x 185 mm (9¼ x 7¼ inches).

London: Marcus Ward & Co, 1878. First Edition. Small colour birthday card, with gilt full-page illustrations, to front and back. These are the same illustrations as the Spring and Summer seasons of the calendars attributed to the illustrator Kate Greenaway, but we are not sure these illustrations are hers. They are beautiful though! Circa 1878. Inside is a hand written birthday message, dated 1879, and a printed poem by Horatius Bonar. In fine condition. 100 x 70 mm (4 x 2¾ inches)

Amsterdam: NV Magazijn De Bijenkorf, 1928. Attractive Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) design. 160 x 50 mm (6¼ x 2 inches). The letters SPG stand for Simon Philip Goudsmit, the founder of the Dutch department store chain 'De Bijenkorf' (The Beehive). Nicolaas Johannes van de Vecht was a Dutch watercolorist, draftsman and lithographer. He was a student at the Arts and Crafts School Quellinus Amsterdam and the State School for Arts and Crafts Amsterdam. In addition to watercolor painting, drawing and lithography, he was a book binding designer.

Uitgeverij Fragment: Den Haag: 1993. Grey cloth with embossed titles, and a photograph laid onto the front cover. Original photograph loosely inserted. The photo-book Published in collaboration with Tel Design, Koninklijke Drukkerij GJ Thieme Nijmegen and Kadee Delft. 24 black and white photographs printed on glossy photo paper. To the rear of each are the details about the subject, the scene and those who participated. A fascinating concept in photography. A complex scene is set up - and the central subject is blind folded and brought into the scene. The blindfold is then briefly removed - and the photograph taken. They are then apparently blind folded again, and only see what was really there when the photograph is produced. Very good condition.

Original cream illustrated boards. Stain to the front board, otherwise a little bumping only. Internally clean and tidy throughout. Small owner's ex-libris stamp to the title page. The work is dedicated to Princess Schaumburg Lippe who financed this, his first work. 240 x 260 mm. Unpaginated. 48 pages.
