Raemaekers (1869 – 1956) became widely known as a political cartoonist during the First World War, first with his prints in De Telegraaf, later for the publications he made for the British propaganda agency Wellington House. After his death in July 1956 an obituary appeared in The Times: "It has been said that Louis Raemaekers was the only private individual who exerted a real and great influence on the course of the First World War. There were a dozen people—emperors, kings, statesmen, and military leaders—who unquestionably shaped policy and were in charge. But outside that circle of greats, Louis Raemaekers was the only man who, without title or status – and without any doubt – determined the destiny of the nations."

*Kenneth H.M. Connal became Lt Colonel of the Lanarkshire Yeomanry in 1910. In 1915 he was commanding the Queen s Own Regiment. in 1916 he returned to his medical studies. Includes graphic photos and illustrations of war related injuries. Boards in very good condition. Endpapers are age toned, but the rest of the book is clean and bright; including the glossy photo paper used for illustrations. xi, 199 pages - including index. 250 x 160 mm (9¾ x 6¼ inches).

William Warwick James OBE was one of the foremost dental surgeons of his time; and a pioneer in maxillofacial surgery. Benjamin William Fickling CBE was a dentist and doctor who played a major part in the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery as a specialised discipline. A seminal work by these two specialists.

It's assumed that the Mrs Wiltz W. Wagner is Helen Bell Wagner, wife of Wiltz Walker Wagner Snr, a New Orleans native. At the end of World War II, Mr. Wagner served as New Orleans chairman of the 'Food for Famine Drive' for war-torn countries. Wiltz Walker Wagner Jr. Ph.D. (one of their sons) is Professor Emeritus

F.I.J.L - The Iberian Federation of Libertarian Youth in English, was an anarchist youth organisation created in Madrid in 1932 during the Second Spanish Republic. Inquietudes was first published in 1947 in exile in France. This anarchist newspaper / magazine covered a wide range of topics, especially cultural ones, and each issue had a circulation of 2,000 copies, being distributed throughout exile and in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula. This is the third issue.

Primera edición. Periódico/revista anarquista original. Impreso en b/n con llamativas ilustraciones en rojo en las cubiertas. Un poco manipulado y arrugado en las cubiertas. La contraportada tiene un pequeño desgarro cerrado. 34 páginas. 320 x 240 mm.
