    London: Ward, Lock & Co. Limited, 1924. First edition thus, as first with Rountree's wonderful illustrations. Green cloth hardback, with black lettering and colour illustration onlaid to the front board. The colour plates include full colour pictorial endpapers.
    Including favourites such as, "The Hare and the Tortoise", "The Country Mouse and the Town Mouse", and "Crying Wolf". Complete with colour frontis and all plates. Has a prize bookplate to the front, dated 1927 - from 'Wyggeston Grammar School for Girls' in Leicester (UK). This school's emblem is also attractively gilt-stamped on to the rear board. 340, [4]pp. publisher's catalogue.. 210 x 155 mm (8¼ x 6 inches).

    Condition: A good copy, with some sun fading to the spine. Light general signs of use only.

Unpaginated. 200 x 175 mm (7¾ x 7 inches). Copy-Kitten likes copying other animals and this book contains over forty wonderful illustrations by the talented Helen and Alf Evers.

    Condition: Dust jacket has shelf-wear to edges, light chipping to spine ends, and an area of creasing / closed tear to back. Neat small owners name to front end paper. Pages inside have some transference (shown in pictures). Overall still a lovely little book.

    Condition: Covers are clean with minimal handling. All but one of the pop-ups are working perfectly, and showing little sign of use. One end of a string of bats has become detached. This would be easy to repair.
