Some pages have been neatly repaired at the bottom (see photos).

    Wien: M. Trentsensky. First Edition, Circa 1860. A lovely set of six lithographs from the series Das Alpenleben. Published by Trentsensky and printed by E. Sieger, the full set comprised of 12 lithographs, each with a number of vignettes of alpine life upon them. We offer numbers 1-6 (So half a set). Our sheets are beautifully hand coloured. The base area of each is painted grey, suggesting that these were intended as cut out sheets (or "mandl sheets" ) for children to play with. The plates are in good, clean condition, on thin paper. This is somewhat toned with age. There is minimal edgewear, but a few very minor closed tears to the edges. Each sheet is  235 by 370mm (9¼ by 14½ inches).

Nos feuilles sont magnifiquement colorées à la main. La base de chaque planche est peinte en gris, ce qui suggère qu'elles étaient destinées à être découpées (ou "feuilles de mandl") pour que les enfants puissent s'amuser avec. Les planches sont en bon état, propres, sur papier fin. Ce dernier est quelque peu terni par l'âge. Il y a peu d'usure sur les bords, mais quelques très petites déchirures fermées sur les bords. Chaque feuille mesure 235 par 370mm (9¼ par 14½ pouces).
