    The Weekly Pacquet of Advice from Rome: Or the History of Popery. The Second volume Together with the Popish Courant

    London: Langley Curtis [LC], 1679. A single issue of a weekly anti-Catholic diatribe in the form of a contemporary broadside issued at the time of the Popish Plot (1678-1681). The Weekly Pacquet is Number 16 - Both of the broadsides were issued Friday 24th October 1679. Pagination is continuous (presumably from issue 1) and these leaves are numbered page [121] - [128]. They are held together, but would appear to have been bound together with other issues at some point. 16 pages. 190 by 140mm (7½ by 5½ inches). Clean and tidy with very slight darkening to the page edge only.

    Paris: Maison de la Bonne Presse. Four works bound together in one volume. In burgundy half morocco, with marbled boards and gilt titles to spine. Text in French. Illustrations by H. Rousseau. The books are undated, but their original soft covers have been retained and bound in. Boards lightly rubbed at edges, and pages are slightly age toned at the very edges. Top edge gilt. Pierre L'Ermite was the pseudonym of Father Edmond Louti, a parish priest who became a columnist for La Croix, and a successful and prolific novelist. These books were printed by the Assumptionist publication La Bonne Presse. 265 x 180 mm (10½ x 7 inches). Quatre ouvrages réunis en un seul volume. En demi maroquin…

Bord supérieur doré. Pierre L'Ermite était le pseudonyme du Père Edmond Louti, curé devenu chroniqueur à La Croix, et romancier à succès et prolifique. Ces livres ont été imprimés par la publication assomptionniste La Bonne Presse. 265 x 180 mm

Downing, Dublin 1884 to the Lady Abbess, with written presentation to the half title. Copac records a single copy of the first edition of 1879 at the British Library only; Preface states "The present volume contains a large number of poems that were not in the former edition, but have since been collected." xxviii, (17)-302, (ii) pp. Advertisements.
