The books are undated, but their original soft covers have been retained and bound in. Boards lightly rubbed at edges, and pages are slightly age toned at the very edges. Top edge gilt. Pierre L'Ermite was the pseudonym of Father Edmond Louti, a parish priest who became a columnist for La Croix, and a successful and prolific novelist. Bord supérieur doré. Pierre L'Ermite était le pseudonyme du Père Edmond Louti, curé devenu chroniqueur à La Croix, et romancier à succès et prolifique. Downing, Dublin 1884 to the Lady Abbess, with written presentation to the half title. Copac records a single copy of the first edition of 1879 at the British Library only; Preface states "The present volume contains a large number of poems that were not in the former edition, but have since been collected." xxviii, (17)-302, (ii) pp. Advertisements.
