London: James Nisbet and Co, 1859. First Edition. Personal dedication to the front, and short ALS from Reverend Hinton loose inside. Dated August 12th 1858 - the paper is headed ' De Beauvoir Town' - the note offers thanks to Mr. von Koch, who was the Royal Chancellor of Justice in Sweden, and was interviewed twice for the book. Original hardback brown embossed Celtic knot decorated buckram. Gilt stamped title to spine. Complete with woodcut frontispiece (Dalecarlian peasants). Pxii, 232 pp. 185 x 125 mm (7¼ x 5 inches). Covers lightly rubbed, but starting to split at head and tail of the spine. Foxing inside, and pages are age toned. Binding a little loose, but overall in good condition.
