All edges gilt. Text in French. Includes space for notes / souvenirs, and a calendar. , 45,  pp. 125 x 80 mm (5 x 3¼ inches). Caroline-Stéphanie-Félicité or Madame de Genlis (25 January 1746 – 31 December 1830) was a French writer of the late 18th and early 19th century, best known for her novels and theories on children's education. her devotion to religion, morality, and feminine submission, strangely contrasts with her own life and her art.
Condition: Boards soft at corners, small ink mark to front board, and discoloration under gilt decorated borders. Upper joint split, and inside is slightly foxed; and hinges weak. This been repaired at some point.
