Condition: Cloth boards are a little stained and darkened, particularly to the front cover. Still attractive though. Moderate foxing to the first few. The rest the book is in very good condition with only light foxing.

The first is an abstract of "A Northern Summer; Or, Travels round the Baltic, through Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Prussia, and part of Germany in the year 1804" 80, [ii]. pp. Includes index, Sepia aquatint of Cronberg Castle, and a lovely large folding sepia Aquatint of St Petersburg.
The second work is "A Tour through Holland, along the right and left banks of the Rhine, to the South of Germany in the Summer and Autumn of 1806." 167 [ii]. pp including index. Includes 6 folding sepia aquatint illustrations, or Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam (x2) Utrecht, and Koblenz.
Each work has a paragraph of introduction, and then an abstract or digest of the work itself. 240 by 150mm (9½ by 6 inches).Condition: Recent half calf binding, with hardcover boards. burgundy label to spine. New end papers. The text itself is clean and tidy, in excellent condition.

These are comprised of 18 Aquatint engravings and 11 hand coloured pictures of traditional Dutch peasant costumes. The binding is in period red leather, with gilt title and decoration. The binding is in very nice, if slightly rubbed condition. The plates are in excellent condition, many with tissue guards, and in a clean and tidy state. 210 by 140mm (8¼ by 5½ inches).

Cream embossed leather binding. Gilt detail to the front board. Attractive gilt and brown end papers. Unpaginated, but 40 stanza's in a neat German hand.

n/a, 1947. A nice album of a tour of Europe for two Englishmen in a Chrysler motor car. Over 60 photographs and a couple of postcards. Includes a small number of bullfighting photographs. Most of the photographs have a visible area of 5cm x 7.5cm Very nice condition with handwritten location / comment to each. London: J. Cary, 1793. An engraved map of Kent, hand coloured in outline. The detail from Cary's atlas for Kent is visible and legible to the verso. Framed in a simple pale green mounting board. Protected by acid free plastic. John Cary worked from London as a mapmaker, engraver and publisher, towards the last quarter of the 18th century up to around 1830. His "New and Correct English Atlas", first published around 1776, was a benchmark in British topography. He used Copper plates for all his work, despite steel engraving becoming more common at this stage.
Condition: Very nice clean condition. There is fractional foxing to the edge of the written page (verso) the map itself is clean and tidy with the merest hint of darkening. A couple of tiny marks not affecting detail.
