P.C. Wren is best known for his work Beau Geste. This story involves a woman, who thought herself a widow because her husband was officially declared dead, remarrying only to meet her 'dead' husband alive many years later. The invention of a fictional South-American country called Boruela, and its wicked dictator, only add to a strange plot.

This was his fourth novel, and is set in Israel. Fine book in a a good dust jacket, with a small tear to the front of the dust jacket. This was the author's own copy. 254 pages. 220 x 140 mm (8¾ x 5½ inches).

Leegstra, and text in Dutch. 274 pages. Boards are a little darkened. Previous owner's name in neat ink handwriting to from blank endpaper. A very good book. 235 x 15 mm (9¼ x 0½ inches).

Fungus the Bogeyman is a character created by British artist Raymond Briggs. The story follows one day in the life of this fabulous character, a working class Bogeyman with the mundane job of scaring human beings. A fantastic pre-curser to the likes of Shrek!
