Darkened to the spine and with some marks to the boards. Binding is a little shaken, with a slight lean. Pages are a little darkened, with some foxing spots. Errata. Adverts for recent publications to rear. [vi], 351 [i], [4]. pp The author (anonymous here but Charles Townshend Wilson) was with the Coldstream Guards. He purchased his commission in 1839, was an Ensign by 1842, a captain in 1846 and Lt Colonel in 1854. He served at Alma, Balaclava and Inkemann, as well as at the Siege of Sebastapol. He received the Crimea Medal with 4 bars, and retired by sale in 1855. Died in 1887. 200 by 130mm (7¾ by 5 inches).

Owner's signature of Francis Vine. He was the vicar of Eastington, Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, member of Kent Archaeological society. and author of "Caesar in Kent: an Account of the Landing of Julius Caesar and His Battles With the Ancient Briton" Published in 1888. No doubt this work was an essential reference to him. The buckram is in good clean condition, but with a couple of small splits to the spine edges. Paper label darkened and a little chipped. Library label to the front pastedown. Intermittent small library stamps throughout. Owner's signature to the half title. Binding is a little shaken, but holding. Intermittent foxing. Overall a nice copy. xxviii, 1-84 + plates. 300 by 230mm (11¾ by 9 inches).

London: William Miller, 1807. First Edition. Three quarter leather binding with gilt titles to the spine. Marbled boards. A little rubbing to the boards and spine. Engraved title and sixteen hand coloured plates (including a final folding plate). There is a blank between each plate, but in this copy there are NO text pages. The plates are pretty clean, with nice hand colouring, but with light creasing to most of the plates. Marbled end papers. Engraved title, 16 plates and 16 blank leaves. 155 by 200mm.

Les planches sont assez propres, avec de belles couleurs à la main, mais avec de légers plis sur la plupart d'entre elles. Papiers de fin marbrés. Titre gravé, 16 planches et 16 feuilles blanches. 155 x 200 mm.

Worms: NSDAP, 1932. First edition. A small advertising ticket / flyer for a speech by Adolf Hitler held in the football stadium at Worms on Saturday 12 June 1932. This small ticket is based upon a larger poster by R. Sch, printed by gebruder Hoffman of Worms. This is printed on heavy recycled paper stock. Clearly printed, and cut with a serrated edge (or perhaps torn from a larger perforated sheet?). 70 by 100mm (2¾ by 4 inches). Very good, clean condition with no significant marks. A tiny hole just in from the right edge (perhaps a printing flaw?) A rare piece of ephemera, we can find no other copies for sale. Hitler spoke before 30,000 people on this, his only visit to Worms. The football stadium was originaly called the "Wormatia Stadium" but was henceforth (after 1933) proudly called the "Adolf Hitler Stadium" (or later the "Kampfbahn").

Il s'agit d'un document éphémère rare, dont nous n'avons pas trouvé d'autres exemplaires à vendre. Hitler s'est exprimé devant 30 000 personnes lors de sa seule visite à Worms. Le stade de football s'appelait à l'origine le "Wormatia Stadium" mais fut désormais (après 1933) fièrement appelé le "Adolf Hitler Stadium" (ou plus tard le "Kampfbahn").
