The paper holds a watermark of three crescent moons. This is often seen in Islamic printing, and was probably from Italian paper stock of the mid to late eighteenth century. Image size 26cm x 34cm.     London: Henry Graves & Co, 1907. Printed by A. Salmon of Paris. The "The Cries of London" has been a recurring theme in English print making for over three centuries. The series of thirteen paintings by Wheatley were amongst the most popular. Originally published as print 10 in the series, St Paul's can be been in the background. Engraved by Thomas G. Appleton. Signed in pencil by Appleton to the bottom right. The impressed area is 450 x 360 mm (17¾ x 14¼ inches).

    Condition: Overall this is in lovely condition. The image is clean and bright. There is a touch of light foxing to the cream paper surrounding the print (but not the print itself).

    1836. A delightfully detailed etching inscribed and pencil signed. A good early strike. On paper with watermark of F. J. Head & Co. There is some evidence of having been in a mount, but otherwise in superb condition. Blank to verso. Image: 150 x 260 mm (6 x 10¼ inches). Sheet: 200 x 300 mm.

    Peter Grahame (1836 - 1921) was a Scottish artist who trained at the Trustees' Academy in Edinburgh under Robert Scott Lauder. His landscapes were influenced by the paintings of Horatio McCulloch, and the poetry of Sir Walter Scott. He enjoyed great success at the Royal Scottish Academy, and at the Royal Academy, London.

The image is sized 240 x 170 mm (9½ x 6¾ inches). It is held behind passe partout and in an aluminium glazed Barth frame. The item is sold in the frame. Total size: 335 by 300 mm (13¼ by 11¾ inches). Beautiful condition. Frame is also in excellent condition. Kees Salentijn was born in 1947, and attended the Rijksacademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam with O.B. Kat as his mentor.

Cette planche a été déposée à la Bibliothèque par Aumontle le 2 novembre 1814 en même temps que la "Marche des officiers anglais". Les Anglais sont représentés de manière assez brutale, comme c'est souvent le cas dans les estampes françaises de l'époque. Il s'agit d'une estampe de bonne qualité, avec des couleurs originales attrayantes. Il y a des rousseurs modérées à fortes sur l'ensemble de la plaque. La surface de la plaque est de 36cm x 27cm. La feuille fait 39cm x 28cm.

    Born in Paris, Lecomte was the son of renowned landscape painter Paul Lecomte. Paul Emile studied at the École des Beaux-Arts under portraitist and history painter Fernand Cormon; his works were often featured in prestigious galleries like the Paris Salon.

    2003. Limited edition print # 33 of 50. Limited lithograph of a cellist by the German artist Aloys Ohlmann (1938 - 2013). The work is part of a 'Good luck for 2004' New Year message (in pencil) to a friend from the artist and his wife, Maria. Also inscribed in pencil on the reverse, with artist's stamp, framed under passe-partout and glass. Can be sold with or without frame. Postage costs will differ. 275 x 190 mm (10¾ x 7½ inches).
    Aloys Ohlmann studied at Werkkunstschule Saarbrücken; and was a co-founder of der Gruppe Sieben Künstlerforum Galerie in Zwinger.

Le passe-partout est propre et net, avec seulement un peu de ruban adhésif sur les bords. Les dimensions de la photographie sont de 29,5 cm x 21 cm. Le passe-partout mesure 45 cm x 36 cm. Il est peut-être symptomatique de l'industrie de la mode que, bien que le coiffeur et le maquilleur soient tous deux mentionnés, le mannequin lui-même n'est pas nommé.
