No significant marks to the cloth. Foyles bookshop sticker to the inside board. Fractionally darkened to the edges, otherwise in excellent condition. Xii, 338 pages + 13 photographic plates. (complete). A very nice copy. Pohl has been described as the Father of Solid State Physics, 220 by 160mm (8¾ by 6¼ inches).

There is an old repair with archival tape to the rear cover. Inside the pages are a little darkened but in very good overall condition. Sewn binding. Munroe and Francis operated from 1805-1832. Initially printing Directories and a newspaper (The monthly monitor), Their children's books seem mainly to have been published in the 1820's. We have been unable to trace another copy of this book. 180 by 120mm (7 by 4¾ inches).

Imprimé dans la série Boston Editions of Coloured Books. Couvertures en papier souple et 8 feuilles de papier. Chaque feuille est imprimée en rouge (ce que l'éditeur entendait par livres colorés) et est imprimée en gravure sur bois d'un seul côté - alternativement le verso ou le recto. Chacune des pages comporte 12 vignettes gravées d'objets courants avec leur nom en dessous. Les couvertures sont un peu assombries et marquées, avec une légère usure des bords. La couverture arrière a été réparée avec du ruban adhésif d'archivage. A l'intérieur, les pages sont un peu noircies mais en très bon état général. Reliure cousue. Munroe et Francis ont exercé leur activité de 1805 à 1832. Ils ont commencé par imprimer des annuaires et un journal (The monthly monitor). Leurs livres pour enfants semblent avoir été publiés principalement dans les années 1820. Nous n'avons pas été en mesure de retrouver un autre exemplaire de ce livre. 180 x 120 mm

    Red spine, and illustrated front board. The illustration is bright, but there is a little staining to the front and rear board. Illustrations throughout. The text and illustrations are clean and bright, but the binding has split to the title page. Although still holding, the binding is a little shaken throughout as a result and the text block is threatening to break free. Very small closed tear to the edge of the title page and illustrations leaf. 19 full page illustrations. 325 x 260 mm.

    . Première édition donc (édition française). Une rétrospective du travail d'Helmut Newton, montrant son approche théâtrale et cinématographique du portrait. Le livre et la jaquette sont presque comme neufs, avec juste une petite manipulation. Aucune marque ou usure significative. Peut-être est-ce le fruit de notre imagination, mais la jaquette et les planches assorties semblent avoir un ton beaucoup plus sombre et doré que l'édition américaine. Bien que l'introduction et les autres textes soient en français, cela n'a guère d'importance, car ce livre est entièrement consacré à la photographie.
