    Lucian Freud 1996 - 2005

Paris: Editions de La Martinière, 2005. First Edition. The last ten years of Freud's work. Subjects of his work range from Queen Elizabeth II of England, to the ex-model Jerry Hall, illustrations of horses, and dogs; but mostly there are nudes which are at the heart of all his work. Lucian Freud was undoubtedly a great realist artist. In the secrecy of his workshop the models exposed themselves to the painter's gaze, his brush recomposing their bodies into art which can be both fascinating and repulsive. In hardback cloth boards, inside original dust jacket. .
